Black Panther (2018 Movie) – Trailer Song

2018 Movies: Black Panther

A first teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero film Black Panther, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, has been released.

The film, directed by Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman in the leading role of T’Challa (aka Black Panther), the king of Wakanda, a fictional African country that is a major technological leader, who must protect the interests of its inhabitants.

The cast ensemble includes also Andy Serkis, who plays Ulysses Klaue/Klaw, Michael B. Jordan, who portrays Erik Killmonger, one of Black Panther’s nemeses, Lupita Nyong’o, who portrays Black Panther’s love interest, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Morgan Freeman and others.

The clip starts with an interrogation of Ulysses Klaue (who is a black-market arms dealer and smuggler) by Freeman, who plays a member of the Joint Counter Terrorism Center, in which Klaue says that Wakanda (called by researchers El Dorado) is actually in Africa, not in South America, and that he is the only one who’s seen it and made it out alive. As the trailer continues, viewers get to see Black Panther and the members of the Dora Milaje, the all-female special forces of Wakanda who serve as T’Challa’s bodyguards, in action, while the voiceover says “The world is changing. Soon, there will only be the conquer. And the conquerors. You are a good man. With a good heart. And
it’s hard for a good man to be a king”.

The song playing in the background is “Legend Has It” by American hip hop supergroup Run the Jewels, from their
2016 album “Run the Jewels 3”.

Black Panther, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, is slated to be released in the US theaters on February 16, 2018.
