Versace has launched the Versus Versace Spring Summer 2018 ad campaign, called “Sub Versus 2”, as a follow-on from the “Sub Versus” campaign of FW17, aimed at showing the authenticity of a new generation of youth.
Filmed in Los Angeles, the campaign film stars a cast of local Cali-Venetians that post up at their favorite places in the city, where they find inspiration, they feel at home, and enjoy fun vibes. The crew includes skater Olan Prenatt, musician Lindsey Shreds, Visual artist Ama Elsesser, models Hayley Ashton, Lilya Reid, Marley Camacho and Dagsen Love, model and car enthusiast TJ Robinson, actress and Venice beach native Fig Abner.
Described as “a raw representation of what it means to be wild, free and brave enough to push every boundary”, the Versus Spring Summer 2018 campaign was shot by photographer Ben Stills and features soundtrack by LA artist Def Sound, which plays to the beat of the Californian lifestyle.
Donatella Versace said of this group of youngsters in LA that it “really tells the story of what the Versus sub-culture stands for: attitude, defiance, and the real issues of a new creative generation”.
