Adidas is calling all creators in its latest campaign, encouraging people to change sport, change lives, and create.
The 60-second spot features James Harden, Lionel Messi, Von Miller, Kris Bryant, Paul Pogba, Pharrell Williams, Carlos Correa, Aaron Rodgers, David Beckham, DeAndre Hopkins, Pusha T, Damian Lillard, Candace Parker, Karlie Kloss, Garbiñe Muguruza, Alexander Wang, PK Subban, Paige Tapp, Chiney Ogwumike, Jeremy Lin, Derrick Rose, Brandon Ingram, Kristaps Porzingis, Lindsey Horan, and Tracy McGrady around a table, each of them saying a part of the following message: “Calling all creators, those with the need to make something. Who are obsessed with progress.
Creativity is everything in today’s game. It’s about making a statement. I think what we’re all trying to do is leave a mark, so the game would never be the same. The game would never be the same. We’re all creators. Related by a mindset. That’s out job, to continue to try to enlighten while we inspire. I’ve been taking the example of you, but now I have to create for myself. That’s not about borders, gender, race… It’s all intertwined, fashion inspires, music… Our design is for it together”.
Finally, they look at the camera and invite viewers to join them. “Join us, pull up a chair. Let’s change sport.
Change lives. Let’s create.” – they say before the tagline “Here to Create” appears on screen.
The music used in this ad is the 2017 song “Chainsmoking” by Nigerian-born English R&B artist Jacob Banks, from his EP “The Boy Who Cried Freedom”, released earlier this year, on April 20. The album is available for purchase on Amazon for $4.65.
