2018 Games - Far Cry 5: The Resistance

The trailer for the fifth installment in the award-winning Far Cry franchise, titled “The Resistance”, has been dropped.

Set in Hope County, Montana, the game follows the resistance group “The Resistance”, consisting of The Junior Deputy, Nick Rye, Mary May Fairgrave, and Jerome Jeffries, who must combat the Project at Eden’s Gate. Players have the possibility to freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies and use the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. They also have the freedom to go in any direction, from the moment they enter Hope County, decide the when, the where, and the how of their mission to defeat Joseph Seed and his fanatical followers, and to drive iconic vehicles, from muscle cars, to big rigs, and from ATVs to tractors.

“The world is going to hell out there. Eden’s Gate is the center of it all. You want to get out of here alive, got to make them feel the pressure. Sabotage their plans. Destroy their convoys and their guard stations. You remember: the more you play with their nerves, the bigger their reaction and nerves. They’ve got lots of it.” – the voiceover says in the trailer, adding that “The more you help liberate a region, the more The Resistance meter will fill up and the more resistance means more people who fight by your side.”. “They want a war… Let’s make sure we don’t disppoint.” – the voiceover also says at the end of the trailer, which is soundtracked by Blues Saraceno’s 2013 song “Killin’ Floor”.

Far Cry 5: The Resistance is set to be released on PS4, Xbox one, and PC March 27, 2018.
