Airbnb continues its “Made possible by Hosts” campaign with a new installment.
The ad includes photos featuring photographer Marco Arguello, his wife, Stefani, and their baby on a journey to Modica, a small town in Sicily where they stayed in Caterina’s beautiful Garden Home.
According to Airbnb, this much-needed break for the couple, who was joined by Marco’s Grandma, the trip marked a lot of firsts for their son – his first trip, his first plane ride and even his first granita (a Sicilian style of ice cream). And even though he probably won’t remember much of the trip, his parents suspect the taste of melon will always hold a special place in his heart.
The soundtrack music is Dean Martin’s song Mambo Italiano.
For the “Made possible by Hosts” campaign, Airbnb has invited photographers to take trips on Airbnb with their family and friends, shoot photos of their stays, and send them back to Airbnb, which edited the photos together with familiar songs. Another video features snapshots of happy stays at the dog-friendly “Stone House” in Milano, Italy, hosted by Airbnb host Jacopo, found by guest and photographer Carol Sachs, who wanted to go there for a trip to celebrate a 40th birthday with her husband, friends, and also her dog, Miso, a Golden Retriever. Another one sees Australian photographer Lisa Sorgini and her children as they enjoyed nature at a restored farmhouse outside Eumundi in Queensland, Australia. Another ad features photographer Paz Olivares-Droguett and her husband, Matias, on a trip in Chile, who stayed at Host Matthieu’s Geodesic Dome, located near a biosphere reserve in Quebrada de Alvarado.
