Gucci Sylvie Bag Faye Dunaway & SoKo Commercial Song

Gucci Sylvie Bag Commercial - Faye Dunaway

Gucci has launched a new ad campaign for Gucci Sylvie, featuring the archive-inspired bag designed by Alessandro Michele.

The 90-second campaign film, captured by Petra Collins, is set against the sun-kissed backdrop of Hollywood Hills and stars Faye Dunaway as the rich and famous mother to French singer, songwriter and actress SoKo. Set to the rhythms of a song titled “Telescope” and composed by Pino Donaggio, the video opens with Dunaway signing a pile of black-and-white portraits while riding around in a limo with her daughter and follows the two as they spend time together throughout the day – shopping in a Gucci store, walking hand in hand, and coming home, to their luxurious mansion, where a maid takes the Gucci shopping bags. They also lounge by the pool, play tennis, and Soko is playing the piano, whilst her mother is listening to her. Soko is shown, at some point, after returning from shopping, looking at her mother’s Sylvie bag with a steady gaze and, later on, at the end of the spot, receiving the Sylvie mini bag as a gift from her mom.

The 77-year award-winning actress and SoKo are both wearing Gucci outfits, including a floral printed dress, a white coat with contrasting blue lapels, and a lace tracksuit from the brand’s fall collection. The Sylvie bags, which are available as small shoulder bag, leather mini bag, leather mini chain bag, and GG velvet small shoulder bag, are seen in a variety of colorways like red, black, crocodile print and more. Prices range from $1,200 USD to $2,590 USD.
