H&M has launched a short film directed by the visionary film maker Baz Luhrmann (whose portfoglio includes Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, and Strictly Ballroom), to showcase the ERDEM x H&M collection, which will be available in selected H&M stores and online, from November 2.

The film campaign, titled “The Secret Life of Flowers”, is set in a mysterious country mansion in Reddham Gardens, where it is “always spring”. Always filled with flowers (a means of celebrating ERDEM’s floral prints), the country house, which “is full of its own secrets and it’s like a metaphor for our times”, according to Luhrmann, hosts a group of young friends – who are wearing pieces from the ERDEM x H&M collection, obviously – and a magnetic love triangle begins.

The cast includes upcoming actors Tom Rhys Harries, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Ruby Dagnall in the main roles, acclaimed actress Harriet Walter, actor Peter Burrows, and models Imaan Hammam, Saskia de Brauw, Grace Hartzel, Neels Visser, Tony Ward, Luca Lemaire, and Fernando Cabral.

The soundtrack music is an exclusive new track by British electronica trio Years & Years (Winners of BBC Sound of 2015), titled “Hypnotised”, which has been composed Michael Thomas Goldsworthy, Oliver Alexander Thornton, Resul Emre Turkmen, and Mark Stuart Ralph.
