Uber UK has launched its first brand campaign, “Where To”, created in collaboration with BBH London and MG OMD, with a first TV advert featuring Elvis Presley’s “You’re The Boss”, performed Ann-Margret.
The 30-second spot, directed by Somesuch’s Kim Gehrig and aiming to highlight that Uber helps you be “anywhere, effortlessly”, shows a young couple (Grace and Miles) on their first date who, using the Uber app, go from one place to another very easily, a car being available for them at the touch of a button. The two have a full night, going through a lot of places and doing a lot of things, such as dancing, grabbing something to eat from a street food stall, going to a jazz club, watching the stars from some steps, and bowling, and getting six Ubers.
This national campaign will run for six weeks across TV, out-of-home, online, cinema and press. In the UK, Uber is available in more than 25 towns and cities, and is used by millions of people every month.
