Kate Spade New York has launched a new ad campaign in order to promote its new collection, Disney Miss Piggy.
Miss Piggy and Zosia Mamet (who plays Shoshanna Shapiro in the HBO original series Girls) co-star in a series of new funny commercials and in a new Missadventure video, a series arrived at season 2, episode 3, titled “to the top”.
The two old friends, heading off for a holiday party held at the top of the Empire State Building, meet in the elevator and discover they are fashion rivals as they are wearing the same outfit.
“Seriously, Jaja? You better be going to a different party, to another floor”, says Miss Piggy, getting nervous.
“You have got to be kidding me right now”, says Zosia.
The argument between the two ladies does not lack irony.
“This is a holiday party, not a costume party where you dress up like your favorite movie star”, says Miss Piggy.
At this point, they start to squabble over who was the first one to buy the clothes.
“Are you serious right now”, asks Zosia, asking Piggy “What part of “I’m buying this dress for the party we’re going to at the Empire State Building” did you not understand? Was I speaking French?”
“No, I understand French”, reveals Piggy.
“Uhhh. You don’t even understand my jokes”.
“We said I’d wear it”, says Piggy.
“We did not say that”, answers Zosia.
Their squabble seem not to be interrupted by anything, not even by Leandra Medine, who enters the elevator while wearing the same outfit and tries to make fun of the situation.
Zosia and Piggy take the argument at another level by fighting over the accessories they have from kate spada, in their shopping bags, promoting thus the brand’s accessory line of wallets, phone cases, sun glasses and jewelry.
Before arriving at the party, they end the fight and become the two old friends they were, leaving behind the empty shopping bags.
