Cathedral City, one of Britain’s best-loved brands, urges people to stay home in its latest advert.
“Right now more than ever the safest most comforting place to be is home. #stay home” onscreen lines read throughout the 30-second spot, which features a family cooking with Cathedral City cheddar and getting all together around the table.
Serving as soundtrack is Dan Croll’s single “Home,” which has also been used by home and garden projects retailer Homebase in its latest ad campaign, introducing Gary the Tortoise.
This ad is actually a short version of the brand’s 2012 “Come Home” TV advert, which followed several kids running from school back home to enjoy a meal (prepared with Cathedral City cheddar, of course) with the family. The video features the empty schoolyard, desert roads Cathedral City Cheddar, which hash “a distinctly smooth and mellow taste” due to the fact that the brand’s Cornish creamery only ever uses milk from dedicated West Country Farms, includes Mild Cheddar, Mature, Lighter Mature and Extra Mature Cheddar, a lineup of lactose free mature cheddar, half fat cheddar, sliced cheddar, grated cheddar, and even snack bars and minis.
The brand has also announced that a new Cheese Packaging Recycling Programme, which will allow customers to recycle any flexible plastic cheese packs, will be soon launched in partnership with TerraCyle.
