UGG Autumn/Winter Collection Commercial

UGG showcases its Autumn/Winter 2017 collection in a new commercial, presenting also the UGG Collective, a group of creative who embody the brand’s values and the spirit of its home state, California, where it was founded by an Australian surfer in 1978.

The 60-second spot features visual artist Kim Gordon, who is also co-founder of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, being its bassist, guitarist, and vocalist, actor Kyle MacLachlan, known for his roles in Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother, Desperate Housewives, Portlandia, and Twin Peaks, self-taught fashion photographer Zackery Michael and his model girlfriend and muse Lolla McDonnell, Daniel Hivner, Dominican American visual artist Uzumaki Cepeda, twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, who form the conceptual band The Garden, and the professional surfer and model Hanalei Reponty, who is also a founder and manager of a line of ethically made, sustainable swimwear and activewear named Abysse. They are seen at the mountainside, ready to snowboard and fighting with snowballs, at the beach, going surfing, and posing in various other places, while sporting some of the brand’s boots, like the Olivert Boot, the Isley Boot, the Eliasson Boot, the Classic Leather Waterproof Boot, the Viki Boot, and the Butte Boot.

The song used in this commercial is the 2017 single “Love Is Mystical” by American indie rock band Cold War Kids,
from their sixth album, “L.A. Divine”.
