The reopening of movie theaters is celebrated with a new commercial, titled Cinema Is Back.
The 90-second spot includes scenes from a variety of films that span all genres and delivers the following message: the light can shine again, more than ever. Great stories need a big screen. Among the movies included in the trailer are Amelie, Paddington, Black Panther, Agent 007, Wonder Woman, Minions, and many more.
The soundtrack is This Little Light Of Mine by Irish folk worship band Rend Collective, from their 2016 album, “Campfire II: Simplicity”.
In the US reopening date for cinemas varies according to state. Georgia reopened movie theaters from mid-May, with Texas following suit. California, a key state, had its cinemas closed until August, after governor Gavin Newsom ordered, on July 13, to have all indoor cinemas closed. Cineworld-owned Regal Cinemas was set to open from July 10, before a delay until July 31. AMC pushed back its reopenings until mid to late August.
