Lidl Christmas 2016
Lidl’s 2016 Christmas advert, titled “Homecoming”, celebrates the family home as the key for a great Irish Christmas.
The 60-second spot features several grown up brothers and sisters who reunite for Christmas, bringing their own families, as well, to give new energy to their old family home at the countryside and surprise their father on this special occasion.
They clean the place, cook, bake and arrange Christmas lights all over the house, which they turn on upon their father’s arrival. The house is filled with joy as they gather altogether and lay out the table with products bought from Lidl, obviously.
The spot, featuring a cover of the iconic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” performed by Irish artist SOAK, ends with the onscreen line “Share more special moments”.
