The Call Up (2016 Movie)
A virtual reality game turns into a struggle for survival for a group of elite gamers brought together and invited to play it – this is the idea behind The Call Up, an upcoming Sci-fi/Action film scheduled to be released on May 20.
The action takes place in a seemingly empty office block in New York which develops into a multi-storey battle zone.
The gamers, equipped with special outfits, soon discover that the competition, with a $100.000 prize, is not only with unclear rules, but also a threat to their lives.
Written and directed by Charles Barker, The Call Up stars Parker Sawyer, Max Deacon, Morfydd Clark and Ali Cook.
