Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming original drama series White Lines, from the creator of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), Alex Pina.
The thrilling show is set in Ibiza and follows Zoe Walker, a young woman who arrives on the beautiful Spanish island, twenty years after the body of her brother, a Manchester DJ who had disappeared without a trace, is found. According to the official synopsis, “her investigation leads her through a thrilling world of dance clubs, lies and cover-ups, forcing her to confront the darker sides of her own character in a place where people live life on the edge”.
The cast includes Laura Haddock as the DJ’s sister, Daniel Mays, Laurence Fox, Angela Griffin, Marta Milans and Juan Diego Botto.
The trailer features Zoe’s arrival in Ibiza and gives viewers a glimpse into the DJ’s life two decades earlier, without revealing too much of the plot. The songs serving as soundtrack are “Midnight” by Siobhan Sainte and “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers.
Season 1 of White Lines, consisting of ten episodes, will launch on Netflix on 15 May.
