Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
The show, from the executive producers of Riverdale, is set in the mysterious town of Greendale and revolves around Sabrina Spellman, a teenage half witch, half mortal, who, on her 16th birthday, must choose between the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends. According to the official synopsis, Sabrina “will face horrors and new adventures”, but she won’t be alone. She has on her side her aunties, her cat, Salem, and her boyfriend, Harvey Kinkle.
The cast includes Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, Ross Lynch as Sabrina’s boyfriend, and Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis as Sabrina’s aunts.
“I’m not an evil person, but these are desperate times,” Kiernan’s character says in one of the scenes revealed in the trailer, which is soundtracked by Neil Sedaka’s “Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen”.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres October 26 on the streaming service.
