Lyft has launched a new ad campaign to promote the bike share services available on its app.
The spot features a diverse cast of unexpected riders – people of different ages and walks of life – using bike share in different aspects of their everyday lives, while in the background the iconic Queen song “Bicycle Race” plays.
The campaign features Lyft’s bike share partners around the nation, including Citi Bike in NYC, Bay Wheels in San Francisco, and Divvy in Chicago.
“Yes, You Are A Bike Person. Just open the Lyft app and ride” onscreen lines read at the end of the commercial.
Founded in 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer, Lyft is now available to approximately 95% of the United States population, as well as select cities in Canada. The company is committed to effecting positive change for cities by offsetting carbon emissions from all rides, and by promoting transportation equity through shared rides, bikeshare systems, electric scooters, and public transit partnerships.
