Office Depot encourages people to “Celebrate a Big Year” in its latest holiday ad, part of the #ToMeFromMe campaign.
The spot, featuring several entrepreneurs, is an invitation for all those who worked really hard and strived for their company to take some time and treat themselves and their business. On screen, a woman is seen using a pod single-cup coffee machine to grab a coffee and then purchasing JLab Audio Gravity Earbuds as a Christmas gift from her to her, for which she selects the 1 hour pick up option available at Office Depot. Moreover, she takes the opportunity to show appreciation for her efforts by writing to herself the message “I’m proud of you!”.
The song used in the ad is “Takin’ Care of Business” by Canadian musician Randy Bachman (best known as lead guitarist, songwriter and a founding member of the 1960s and 1970s rock bands The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive), first recorded by Bachman–Turner Overdrive for their 1973 album, “Bachman–Turner Overdrive II”. The song also appears on the 2014 album “Jazz Thing II”.
