Yaga (2026 Series) Trailer Song
“Yaga” Reimagines Baba Yaga in Kat Sandler’s Genre-Bending New Mystery Thriller
The upcoming 2026 mystery thriller series Yaga follows private investigator Rapp, played by Noah Reid, as he arrives in the small, fog-laced coastal town of Whittock to investigate the sudden, unexplained disappearance of Henry Park, played by Hudson Williams, the young heir to a powerful local fishery.
As his investigation deepens, Rapp finds himself drawn into a dark and provocative web of secrets, one that grows more tangled with every uncovered clue. He must navigate a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects and traces of ancient magic, all while contending with an apprehensive local detective and a charismatic university professor, each holding pieces of a mystery far stranger than it first appears.
Created and written by Kat Sandler, the series is adapted from her own stage play, transforming it into a modern, feminist reimagining of the Baba Yaga mythos, a bold, atmospheric evolution of a story rooted in folklore, now filtered through the lens of contemporary mystery and simmering tension.
Yaga is scheduled to premiere October 23, 2026, streaming on Crave in Canada and AMC+ in the United States.
The song playing in the trailer is “Season Of The Witch” by Alanis Morissette, released on September 25, 2026, as part of the album Season Of The Witch – Single.
