T-Mobile has unveiled a new commercial starring Zoe Saldana to spotlight its latest promotion: the opportunity to get the new Apple iPhone 16 Pro without trading in an old device.
Set inside a T-Mobile store, the ad opens with a representative informing Saldana that by switching to T-Mobile, she can receive the iPhone 16 Pro and keep her current phone. Skeptical, she exclaims, “There’s always a trade-in!” But the employee reassures her, for the first time ever, no trade-in is needed. Overjoyed, she utters a celebratory scream.
The employee adds that T-Mobile customers can also save 20% compared to “the other big guys”. Wanting to return the favor, Saldana rummages through her purse in search of a gift. She pulls out a box of raisins, a banana peel, and a balloon before finally dumping the entire contents onto the counter, telling the employee to take anything he wants.
Set to the 2024 hit “APT.” by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars, the spot concludes with a voiceover highlighting that for the first time, switching to T-Mobile means you can get the iPhone 16 Pro on them, no trade-in required. The offer is available to well-qualified customers via 24 monthly bill credits on the Experience Beyond plan.
