Netflix has dropped a trailer for the long-awaited season 2 of “Survival of the Thickest”, created by Michelle Buteau and Danielle Sanchez Witzel.
“If you like Emily in Paris, then you’re gonna love Mavis in Rome!” the stand-up comedian and actress is heard saying in the trailer.
Drawing inspiration from her highly praised collection of essays bearing the same title, the debut season unfolds across eight compelling episodes. It centers on Mavis Beaumont, a talented stylist whose world is turned upside down when she unexpectedly discovers her partner, Jacque, played by Taylor Selé, in a compromising situation with another woman. This life-altering moment sets off a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and reinvention as she navigates the emotional fallout and redefines her future.
