Renault unveils its all-electric Renault 5 in a new advertisement.
Titled “R5VOLUTION is a French thing,” the 60-second spot showcases the Renault 5 driving through the streets of Paris, while juxtaposed black-and-white footage references the car’s decades-long legacy. With its bold colors and playful design, the Renault 5 modernizes and reimagines key elements from its 1970s predecessor.
As the car comes to a stop, a man steps out, casually grabbing a French baguette.
The commercial concludes with the tagline “R5VOLUTION is a French thing” displayed on-screen, all set to the 2013 track Instant Crush by French electronic duo Daft Punk, featuring Julian Casablancas.
The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric comes equipped with the latest-generation OpenR Link system, featuring Google built-in, access to over 50 apps, and practical services like electric recharging integration for planned journeys.
Additionally, the vehicle boasts an innovative smart cocoon soundproofing system and an acoustic windscreen, a feature typically found in higher-end models.
Now available for order, the Renault 5 offers a choice between a 40kWh urban-range battery or a 52kWh comfort-range battery.
