Far Far Away’s Finest are coming. Universal Pictures has unveiled an official video announcement featuring the primary voice cast for Shrek 5, providing audiences with an exciting first look at the actors bringing the film’s characters to life.
Shrek 5 is the upcoming fifth installment in the beloved animated franchise, scheduled for release on December 23, 2026.
The film will see the return of the original voice cast, including Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, and Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona.
The key addition to the cast is Zendaya, who will lend her voice to the daughter of Shrek and Fiona, bringing a fresh dynamic to the character lineup.
Antonio Banderas is also expected to reprise his role as Puss in Boots.
The film is directed by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon. The screenplay is composed by Michael McCullers, and the project is produced by Chris Meledandri and Gina Shay.
