Suburban father Craig Waterman (played by Tim Robinson) finds himself irresistibly drawn to his charming and effortlessly charismatic new neighbor Austin Carmichael (portrayed by Paul Rudd). As he eagerly tries to forge a genuine friendship with another adult man, his well-intentioned efforts quickly spiral out of control, setting off a chain of events that jeopardize not only their budding camaraderie but also the stability of both their lives.

Kate Mara also stars in the movie as Tami Waterman, Craig’s wife.
