Hysteria 2024 Peacock Horror Series Trailer | Julie Bowen as Linda Campbell

Peacock has revealed a teaser trailer for the upcoming horror series Hysteria.

The spot shows various individuals starting their morning activities. Linda Campbell (played by Julie Bowen) is in the kitchen and listening to a happy song, when unexpectedly there is an earthquake strong enough to break the plates and scare her. But the scare does not stop with the telluric movement, because in the window of the microwave oven she will see, for a moment, the face of Satan, after which it will explode.

During the height of the “Satanic Panic” in the late 1980s, a popular varsity quarterback mysteriously vanishes, prompting a struggling high school heavy metal band of misfits to seize the moment. They exploit the town’s newfound obsession with the occult by branding themselves as a Satanic metal band. However, when a string of bizarre murders, kidnappings, and alleged supernatural occurrences ensue, the town’s leather-clad witch hunt takes a dark turn, with all fingers pointing back to them.

Anna Camp, Garret Dillahunt, Chiara Aurelia, Emjay Anthony, Milly Shapiro, Nikki Hahn, and many more star in the upcoming series.

The song playing in the trailer is “Heaven Is a Place on Earth”, a hit track by American singer Belinda Carlisle, released in 1987. It was the lead single from her second album, Heaven on Earth, and became one of her most successful tracks.
