Tracee Ellis Ross and Yara Shahidi reunite in the latest Old Navy campaign, “Summering,” marking their first collaboration since their roles on “black-ish.”
Set at a lively house party in California, the commercial features the two actresses, known for their mother-daughter roles in the series, dancing to “You Can Have It All” by George McCrae, reminiscent of a Hollywood musical.
The vibrant summer collection showcases bold colors and classic pieces, including a bright blue linen set, a sporty white tennis skirt paired with a red tank top, capri leggings, an oversized shirt in bright red, a cherry red ribbed knit maxi dress, bike shorts in rich green and navy tones, and a ribbed spaghetti strap dress, among others.
Directed by Alice Kong, the commercial also includes a cameo from Magic the Dog, paying homage to Old Navy’s tradition of optimism with vivid colors.
At the end of the ad, the two actresses compliment each other, saying, “You look fabulous!” “No, you look fabulous!” and point out that it’s Old Navy.
