The 30-second ad unfolds in the setting of a subway car at 2 AM, where a man and a woman observe the eclectic mix of passengers around them, including a street dancer, a woman toting a flower pot, another with a stylishly dressed Dalmatian, and more. “You know what’s surprising?” the man asks his travel companion, who – looking at an old lady devouring a crab she’s pulled from her purse, asks back “Subway at 2 AM?” The man redirects, revealing his surprise lies elsewhere: the prizes you can with the new scratch off games from the New York Lottery.
Displaying one such game, offering a chance to win a million dollars, the woman reacts with amazement, exclaiming “That is amazing!” “Yeah, it’s nuts!” the man adds. She keeps expressing her excitement by adding “Bonkers”. Their attention is momentarily diverted by a man pretending to be a robot who takes a seat nearby.
