Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming comedy film “Mother of the Bride”.
Weddings is always a delicate balancing act, but what happens when your daughter is marrying the son of your ex? How do you handle the seating chart then?
Lana (played by Brooke Shields) is set to explore this comedic dilemma in “Mother of the Bride,” a new romantic comedy helmed by director Mark Waters, known for hits like “He’s All That,” “Mean Girls,” and “Freaky Friday.” Penned by Robin Bernheim, the writer behind the Princess Switch trilogy, the film promises to deliver laughs and chaos aplenty. Shields, who starred in “The Blue Lagoon,” and “Suddenly Susan,” leads an all-star cast of wedding attendees in this uproarious comedy, offering up all the juicy wedding gossip you could possibly desire.
The film also features Rachael Harris, Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality), Sean Teale (Skins), Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi (Frayed).
The song playing in the “Mother of the Bride” trailer is “Blame It on Your Love” by English singer Charli XCX featuring American singer and rapper Lizzo, released on 15 May 2019.
“Mother of the Bride” is slated for release this Mother’s Day.
