Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming comedy movie “Unfrosted”.
In the year 1963, in Michigan, Kellogg’s and Post, fierce competitors in the cereal industry, engage in a frantic competition to invent a pastry that will revolutionize breakfast. Unfrosted is a story of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and ominous milkmen, marking Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut.
“I believe we have split the atom of breakfast.” Bob Cabana (played by Jerry Seinfeld) says at the start of the trailer.
“In the early 1960s, the American morning was defined by milk and cereal. And the two undisputed giants of the cereal world were Kellogg’s and Post.” he continues.
“Major news from the breakfast world. The Post cereal company has reportedly invented a shelf-stable fruit pastry breakfast product.” the newsreader declares.
“I’m about to finally crush that big red K that never stops glaring at me.” Marjorie Post (portrayed by Amy Schumer) is heard saying in the trailer.
The song playing in the Unfrosted trailer is “Rebel Rebel” by the English singer-songwriter David Bowie.
Melissa McCarthy (as Donna Stankowski), Hugh Grant, Jim Gaffigan, Peter Dinklage, Max Greenfield , Christian Slater, Maria Bakalova, Kyle Mooney, Sarah Cooper and Jack McBrayer also star in the movie.
Unfrosted is scheduled for release in the United States on May 3, 2024.
