The latest advertisement from bread brand D’Italiano encourages Canadians urges Canadians to “Soak It All In”.
Produced by the agency Rethink, the commercial features a lively family gathering filled with D’Italiano bread, buns, and the new D’Italiano with Gusto! bagels. Amidst the chaos, fueled by a mischievous drone controlled by a young boy snatching salt and wreaking havoc at the dinner table, spills and drops occur, yet everyone relishes the delicious meal, enhanced by D’Italiano bread.
The ad concludes with a slow-motion shot of D’Italiano bread absorbing a hearty red sauce, and with the voiceover saying the tagline “To live life to the fullest, you gotta soak it all in.”
The soundtrack features “A Venezia” by French conductor, composer, and arranger Paul Bonneau.
Geoff Ballie, creative director at Rethink, expressed the aim to capture D’Italiano’s bold essence, perfect for hearty meals, through the campaign.
The multi-channel campaign spans television, online video, social media, and digital platforms, with extensive out-of-home advertising across Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, including prominent locations like Yonge and Dundas and Union Station.
Alongside the campaign, D’Italiano has introduced D’Italiano with Gusto! Bagels, expanding its premium sub-brand Gusto! These New York-style bagels are available in three elevated flavors – Everything & Herbs, Black & White Sesame, and Original – and are 20% larger than the leading national brand.
