Netflix has launched the official trailer for the upcoming drama movie “The Tearsmith”, based on Erin Doom’s best selling novel “Fabbricante di lacrime”.
The film follows Nica and Rigel, two totally different children who share the same destiny: having grown up in an orphanage where love, caresses and understanding have always been lacking. Since she was a child, Nica has always wanted only to have a family. When at seventeen someone decides to adopt her, that wish becomes reality and her dream finally seems to come true.
“We’re broken. We’re not like the others. But maybe we broke into a thousand pieces, so that we’d fit together better.” the voiceover says.
The song playing in the trailer is “I Love You” by Billie Eilish, from the album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (released 2019).
Directed by Alessandro Genovesi, the movie star Simone Baldassari, Caterina Ferioli and Eco Andriolo.
The Tearsmith is scheduled for release April 4th.
