Royal Caribbean has dropped a new commercial for its upcoming “Icon of the Seas” cruise ship, set to be launched in January 2024.
“The countdown is on” an onscreen line reads in the opening of the 60-second spot, which gives viewers a glimpse at the ship, which features 21 ways to dine, designed to pique your culinary curiosity, 20 buzzing bars, 14 spots that set the stage, 7 pools for any mood, and six record-breaking waterslides, including the Frightening Bolt, the tallest waterslide to sail, and the Pressure Drop, the first open freefall waterslide on a cruise.
The Icon of the Seas introduces the coolest innovations at sea. Guests will be able to watch ice skaters dazzle with double axels at the biggest ice arena ever or marvel at performances that push the bounds of bravery beneath a mesmerizing, morphing waterfall. The cruise ship will have the most immersive scene at sea, called AquaDome, the biggest ice arena ever, called Absolute Zero, where guests will have to chance to watch all-star performers unleashing maximum axels and supersize spins, all while an immersive, digitally mapped backdrop transforms this arctic arena to showcase storylines beyond any they have imagined, and many other unique places.
“It all starts this January” a final onscreen line reads as the spot concludes.
The advertisement, which introduces the Icon of the Seas as “only 1 icon of vacations”, is scored by the 2022 single “I Got The Power” by American artist Tima Dee.
