Instacart highlights in one of its commercials that life is filled with unexpected moments, but your daily necessities don’t have to be one of them.
The ad, titled “Everyday surprises with Instacart,” portrays a short-hair mother dressed in a green blouse and beige wide-leg trousers as she prepares breakfast for her child. With her smartphone in hand, she utilizes the Instacart app to update her shopping list with various household essentials. She includes items like paper towels, bread, and dish detergent.
As she finishes her meal with a toast, her son, clad in a diving suit, unexpectedly appears and takes her drink can to sip from, ignoring his own glass of orange juice. This prompts the mother to add an eight-pack of the drink to her Instacart order.
The background music features an Italian song with the chorus “Pronto per andare,” translating to “ready to go.”
An onscreen message informs viewers that they can now enjoy free delivery on their first orders of $10 or more with one retailer per order, while supplies last. This offer expires 14 days after the first order, and a nominal delivery fee, taxes, tips, and other potential charges may apply.
In another recent advertisement as part of Instacart’s “Add Life to Cart” campaign, a diverse array of dogs of different breeds is featured. A search bar displays the items their owners want to shop for, including paw balm, probiotic shampoo, blueberry treats, and more.
Back in June 2022, Instacart introduced a new subscription service called Instacart+, which is an updated version of its previous Instacart Express program with a renewed focus on family shopping. This service offers Family Accounts that can be shared with one other person at no extra cost, and it also includes Family Carts, allowing different household members to add items to the same cart.
