Google has dropped a series of new ads to showcase the new AI-powered editing features in Google Photos on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
One of the spots focuses on the Best Take feature, which combines similar photos into one fantastic picture where everyone looks their best. Set to the tune of “How You Like That” by BLACKPNK, the video shows how Pixel users are able to get great group photos thanks to Best Take.
“The only phone with Best Take. The only phone engineered by Google” onscreen lines read at the end of the commercial.
The new Best Take feature in Google Photos uses a series of similar photos taken close together to help you automatically create a blended image with everyone’s best expression. If you prefer another expression, you can manually select another look from the other photos you took to get the group photo you want.
Other available features are Magic Editor, a new experimental editing experience coming to Google Photos that uses generative AI to help you easily make complex edits and bring your photos in line with how you remember a moment, and Audio Magic Eraser, which can identify sounds, like music playing or people talking in the background – and sort them into distinct layers that you can control, allowing you to reduce distracting noises in just a few taps.
