
Netflix has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming reality show Squid Game: The Challenge, based on the the hit Korean survival drama of the same name, which became Netflix’s most-watched of all time.
The reality series follows 456 real players from around the world who enter the competition show in pursuit of a record-setting cash prize of $4.56 million. The players will compete through games inspired by the original show as well as some surprising new additions, according to the logline. “$4.56 million dollars – people do a whole lot worse for a whole lot less,” one contestant is heard saying in the teaser, which includes flashes of games both familiar and new and shows the players charging at the now legendary animatronic doll, Young-hee, in a game of Red Light, Green Light.
Season 1 of Squid Game: The Challenge, consisting of 10 episodes, will premiere on Netflix this fall, November 22.
