UK’s leading homewares retailer Dunelm has launched a new brand campaign, created in partnership with Creature London and Goodstuff, which also announces the launch of its new brand platform, “The Home of Homes”.

The TV spot features a family struggling with their dull and tired décor, then visiting Dunelm and finding everything they could possibly need to rejuvenate their home, all under one roof. The family members all sing an original song set to the tune of the iconic “You’re The One That I Want” from the classic film “Grease”, performed by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

“I’ve kids, they’re multiplying,” the mother sings in the opening of the 30-second ad, which goes on by showing the other family members, each singing their part. “And this deadpool is so dull,” one of the daughters sings. Looking at an empty glass, the father mentions the issues they’re having when dining, which “it’s petrifying”.

As they walk through a Dunelm store and find the items they want, they all start singing “You’re the One that I Want” to the rhythms of the famous 1978 track.

“Find everything that you want, all under one roof, at Dunelm, the Home of Homes,” the voiceover says at the end of the advert.

“The Home of Homes was already there; we’ve just shone a brighter light on it. Using it as a platform showcases the vast breadth of offers that makes Dunelm the ultimate homewares destination – we want everyone in the UK to know that Dunelm has the answer to all their homeware wants and needs,” Sean McGinty, marketing director at Dunelm, said in a press statement.

The campaign debuted on September 25 and is set to run across TV, BVOD, YouTube, Radio, Out of Home, Digital and Paid Social.
