Real survivors get to celebrate a birthday they thought they’d never have in one of the commercials released by Apple after its Live Event held on September 12, in which they revealed the new iPhone 15 Series and Apple Watch.
The 4-minute film features a diverse cast of individuals from across the globe who got a chance to celebrate one more birthday thanks to iPhone features like Emergency SOS via satellite and Crash Detection and Apple Watch features like irregular rhythm notifications and alerts for high and low heart rate. Among them are Tasha Prescott, who went to the hospital after Apple Watch notified her of a low heart rate and received vital pacemaker surgery, Antonio Femiano, who used Emergency SOS via satellite on iPhone to get rescued after he got caught in a blizzard and hypothermia set in, Stephen Watts, who also used this Emergency SOS feature and was airlifted out after getting trapped miles off trail while rappelling, Omar Hashem, who passed out from a seizure and crashed his car and got saved thanks to the Crash Detection feature, which called 911 while he was unconscious, and Imani Miles, who discovered she has a tumor and had it removed thanks to an alert from Apple Watch regarding her high heart rate.
The soundtrack music is the 2023 song “Beautiful Day (Thank You for Sunshine)” by Trinix, Rushawn & Jermaine Edwards.
