Volvo introduces its first ever fully electric premium EM90 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle, in a new commercial, announcing the car’s global debut on 1 November 2023.
The spot opens with what appears to be a snapshot of a cozy living room, with comfortable chairs surrounding a small coffee table, with a notebook, a laptop and a cup of coffee on it. However, as the video continues, it turns out this is actually the interior of an EM90 MPV that speeds down a highway at night.
“Make room for life” an onscreen line reads at the end of the 30-second commercial.
The automaker introduces the vehicle as “A place to connect, create, relax, work, or just think” and says that it’s “designed for you to make the most of the time spent in the car, like a Scandinavian living room on the move”. “The new EM90 doesn’t just allow you to travel from A to B – it creates room for your life,” Volvo said in a release.
The EM90 MPV’s global debut will take place on 12 November 2023, with pre-orders starting in China on the same day.
