Volkswagen Atlas Photoshoot Commercial Opera Song

Volkswagen Canada promotes its 2024 Atlas in a humorous new commercial, highlighting that bold choices come naturally with the new VW Atlas.

Titled “Photoshoot”, the spot opens with a man getting a vintage haircut in his bathroom and spraying his body with a spray tan. Out in the frontyard, he leaves his two daughters in awe, not only thanks to his new haircut but also to the outfit he’s wearing: a jersey that’s quite small for him, featuring the number “26” and some denim shorts. His wife, who’s waiting for him near the car (the new VW Atlas), is ready to take some photos of him. The next scene shows the four family members driving to the man’s dad to give him a special gift, which it proves to be a framed photo of the man as he looked at the beginning of the ad, in front of his VW Atlas.

As the spot ends, viewers get to understand the reason behind this gift: his father had a similar photo at this age and the son wanted to recreate it.

The soundtrack music is “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle” an aria from Act I from Bizet’s “Carmen”.

The 2024 re-designed Atlas features stacked adaptive LED headlights, available end-to-end light bars and an available illuminated VW logo, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate with Easy Open and Easy Close Functions, and a refined interior with a new floating centre console and metallic and gloss details that dial up the wow factor, and available diamond-stitched quilted leather seating surfaces.

Other available features include customizable interior ambient lighting with up to 30 colour options to choose from, 7 spacious seats and a roomy third row, 2,735L of cargo space, and innovative Climatronic three-zone automatic climate control.
