The AA, the UK’s leading driving services business, highlights, in its new TV ad, that – when you’re with AA – you can be confident there’s a driving service for pretty much anything.
Created in partnership with The Gate and lead media agency Goodstuff and titled “It’s OK, I’m with The AA”, the spot depicts a variety of scenarios in which UK drivers have an unshakeable confidence due to the fact that they are with The AA. Among them are a man at a gas station who realises that he has put the wrong fuel in his tank, a man who has swallowed a metal key, an AA driving instructor calmly telling a student to drive towards an enormous swirling vortex and a dad gifting a new car to his son, which promptly gets hit by a meteorite. Faced with these moments, which would faze anyone if they were not an AA member, they all answer “It’s OK. I’m with the AA.”
Set to Chopin’s Waltz no 7, the advert ends with the voiceover declaring “With The AA, there’s a driving service for pretty much anything”.
“From pitch to campaign delivery, the team at The Gate have always been 100% aligned on our brand opportunity and ambitions. We’re all so excited to launch this new campaign as part of a larger ‘Always Ahead’ brand re-positioning to reflect the modern and relevant driving brand that we are, with a good dose of advertising swagger,” Will Harrison, Group Brand Director at The AA, said in a press release.
