Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy Love at First Sight, based on the wildly popular novel “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight” by Jennifer E Smith.
According to the official synopsis, the film revolves around Hadley (Haley Lu Richardson), who – after missing her flight from New York to London – meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) in a chance encounter at the airport that sparks an instant connection. A long night on the plane together passes in the blink of an eye, but upon landing at Heathrow, the pair are separated and finding each other in the chaos seems impossible. Viewers will surely ask themselves if fate will intervene to transform these seat mates into soul mates.
The cast also includes Jameela Jamil, Rob Delaney, Dexter Fletcher and Sally Phillips.
The trailer shows how Hadley and Oliver meet at the airport, how their conversations make them become closer and how she tries to find him in London, after accidentally losing his phone number.
The song playing in the background is the 2023 single “Infinitely Falling” by Los Angeles-based alt-pop duo Fly By Midnight, consisting of Justin Bryte and Justin Slaven, from their fourth studio album, “Fictional Illustrations”.
Love at First Sight lands on Netflix on Sept. 15.
