EE Broadband Made for Gaming Advert Song – Feat. Dad Rushing Home to Play Videogames with Daughter

EE has launched a new nationwide campaign, developed by agency Saatchi & Saatchi, to promote its Home Broadband.

One of the three spots included in the campaign features a father rushing back home on a Friday evening, for a video gaming session with his daughter. However, the advert shows the man sprinting down the street, sliding over the bonnet of a car, and spinning around street corners, making viewers wonder why and where he rushes like that, especially given the fact that he doesn’t slow down as he reaches his front door.

Only at the end of the video it turns out he was rushing to go this his daughter’s room, where she waits for him, two controllers in hand.

“Sorry love, work lagged a bit,” he tells her, before taking a seat and start playing.

Kevin Bacon announces, in voiceover, that “Nothing beats EE broadband at handling lag, so bring on game night”.
The song used in the ad is “Connection” by Elastica.

The other two adverts feature a family having fun indoor, thanks to internet provided by EE Full Fibre broadband, after their BBQ party went awry due to an unexpected downpour and a family using EE mobile hotspot after moving into their new home.

The “Broadband Made For You” campaign, which aims to highlight the many ways EE home broadband benefits home movers, gamers and busy families, also includes multiple bespoke social, digital, OOH and TV executions.
