BBC has released the trailer for its upcoming reality show Ultimate Wedding Planner, in which eight aspiring wedding planners battle it out to transform six real couples’ weddings in just three days under the watchful eye of Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, First Dates favourite Fred Sirieix and wedding industry expert Raj Somaiya, who will serve as judges and mentors.
The 30-second promo gives viewers a glimpse at the challenges the eight wedding planners must deal with in order to make their clients’ wedding dreams come true.
The soundtrack is provided by Billy Idol’s “White Wedding, Pts. 1 & 2 (Shotgun Mix)”.
The new competition series from BBC Studios, confirmed for BBC Two on 8 August at 9pm to 10pm, will have an explosive start as the planners transform an industrial Concorde hangar and try to pull off the ultimate high-flying wedding.
Each week, the fledgling planners will be tasked with creating dream weddings for couples around the UK, many of whom had their plans left in tatters due to lockdown. At the end of each episode, the three judges will decide which planner is sent home. In the final, the two remaining planners will face one final challenge for the winning title.
