Petco has enlisted Snoop Dogg to star in its latest ad campaign, which highlights the value Petco offers when it comes to caring for pets’ whole health.
Titled “The Ultimate Dog”, the spot features the rapper saying “Man, I feel good. Could be the food I’m eating. No artificials. Or these toys that get my mind right. Or maybe it’s Petco, keeping me healthy for less money.” “Wait, what’s money?” he then asks, looking at the camera.
At the end of the commercial, he adds the tagline “Better quality pet care for less human money” in voiceover.
In another ad, the hip-hop legend plays the human version of a Doberman Pinscher, the breed he transformed into in the video for his top hit “Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)”.
“Snoop Dogg gives pet parents a fresh perspective on our comprehensive health and wellness offering at a value they can feel good about,” Katie Nauman, Petco’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in a press release.
Petco’s range of products and services includes differentiated products, pet wellness services, veterinary care, and membership offerings.
As part of his partnership with Petco, Snoop Dogg, who is long-time pet parent and grandparent to dogs, cats and reptiles, is also sharing a curated, shoppable list of his favorite “Petco Picks” that support pet health and wellness and his personal lifestyle. Available now at petco.com, products include toys, treats, grooming supplies, and items from Snoop’s own pet wear brand, Snoop Doggie Doggs, which will become available at Petco pet care centers nationally in August.
Snoop Dogg is known for its partnerships with multiple brands. Among them are Corona, SodaStream, Skechers, and more. Another recent collaboration is with the fast-food chain Jack in the Box. The rapper promotes a meal called “Snoop’s Munchie Meal”.
