Gatorade spinoff brand Propel Fitness Water has enlisted Michael B. Jordan to star in its latest ad campaign, which marks the first celebrity-led ad campaign in two years.
Titled “The world is your gym” and created in partnership with the creative agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners, the spot features the Emmy Award-Winning actor taking a sip from of his bottle of Propel Fitness Water and then getting up from a chair on a movie set and start running down the street, which turns into a treadmill. When he stops for a moment, notices that the cars lining both sides become a climbing gym, so he starts climbing.
At the end of the commercial, the voiceover informs viewers that Propel now features “Gatorade electrolytes,” while Propel’s new packaging and logo appear on the screen.
The new logo, which leans into the brand’s Gatorade origins, displays a water droplet with an orange lightning bolt at its center.
The commercial premiered during the NBA Playoffs and is set to air during other sporting events this summer, including NBA, WNBA, NWSL and tennis with the US Open, Wimbledon and French Open.
Propel has also announced the launch of Propel Immune Support tablets. For the moment they are available in Orange Raspberry and Lemon Blackberry and can be purchased on the Gatorade website. They are scheduled to hit store shelves in June. Other two flavors – Grape and Kiwi Strawberry, respectively – will roll out later this summer.
