Cheetos has dropped a new ad highlighting that, when your fingers are covered in cheetle and can’t use the remote control, you can just ask Alexa “What’s Chester watching?” for hands-free movie recommendations from Chester Cheetah.
The spot features a couple and their teenage daughter watching a movie together and munching on Cheetos Popcorn. At some point, though, the film becomes quite impossible to watch because of some steamy scenes that make all the family members feel embarrassed. The daughter tries to grab the remote, but she realizes she can’t touch it, given the cheetle on her fingers, and asks Alexa to pause the movie. Her dad then comes up with the idea of asking the virtual assistant “What’s Chester watching” and they get an action movie recommendation.
“Next up movie night with Cheetos Popcorn. Just say ‘Alexa, what’s Chester watching?'”, the voiceover says at the end of the 30-second commercial.
Consumers can get $5 off Cheetos Popcorn when Chester suggests a movie for them. They can opt for cheddar-flavored popcorn bags or for Cheddar, Flamin’ Hot & Jalapeño Cheddar Variety Pack.
