After its “Tache” campaign, directed by Olivia Wilde, which follows the journey of a young woman who learns to embrace unwanted facial hair by using Amazon Prime to find items, like clothing and music, Amazon has launched a new advertising campaign, titled “every day better”.
One of the spots, dubbed “A New World”, tells the story of two brothers who share the same room and always fight for all kinds of reasons. At some point, their mother, Deanne, decides to buy from Amazon two bed tents for her boys, hoping they would stop bickering. It turns out this was a great idea. Having these new tent-themed beds, the two siblings start playing together more and bond even more.
At the end of the commercial, Deanne’s review left on Amazon for the kids’ bed tents is shown: “Bought a tent for their bed. Gave them a new world.”
The other spot in the campaign, set to the rhythms of “Nobody’s Baby” by Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, features a young man wearing a horse head mask on the street. In his Amazon review, he shares that he gets asked about the reason why he wears that mask and he answers with a question: “Why don’t you?”.
