Tesco Mobile aims to position itself as as the most helpful network in the UK in its latest advertisement.
The spot, created by BBH London, features the network’s now famous shopping trolley embarking on a journey to the closest town to help a man fallen in a well, near a farm. The shopping cart goes to a Tesco Mobile store, where he informs an employee about the man in need and then returns to him and pulls him up.
“Welcome to the helpful network. Welcome to Supermarket Mobile” onscreen lines read at the end of the video.
The soundtrack music is “The Heat Is On (From Beverly Hills Cop” Soundtrack)” by Glenn Frey.
A previous advert follows the journey of the same shopping cart, which sets out to save a woman from C.O.N. Mobile and take her to Tesco Mobile, where she is guaranteed that the prices she gets won’t be increased during her contracts. The video, scored by Enrique Iglesias’ hit single “Hero,” features the trolley as it travels across the country, facing all kinds of obstacles. Eventually, he arrives at the lady’s house and takes her to Tesco Mobile.
At the end of the advertisement, viewers are encouraged to “Join the network that won’t increase prices during your contracts” and Tesco Mobile is introduced as “super helpful mobile” and “Supermarket Mobile”.
