The 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs, the forthcoming playoff tournament of the National Hockey League (NHL), scheduled to begin on April 17, are promoted in a dedicated commercial.
The spot features various NHL teams ready to face off, with close-ups of different players’ faces. The teams are also shown competing against each other, while in the background the song “Who’s your enemy” by LA-based rock band Valley of Wolves plays.
The track, included on the group’s album of the same name, was released in 2023.
This will be the eighth year in which the top three teams in each division make the playoffs, along with two wild cards in each conference (for a total of eight playoff teams from each conference). The Stanley Cup will end in June 2023 with the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals.
Games will air across the Sportsnet networks, FX, Citytv and CBC under the Hockey Night in Canada brand, and streamed on Sportsnet Now and CBCSports.ca.
