Louis Vuitton has enlisted Lionel Messi to front its new Horizon campaign, which is an homage to the iconic Horizon collection of luggage and celebrates the spirit of travel.
The campaign film, titled “Horizons Never End”, features the foodball legend in an airport, ready to embark to his next flight, carrying his Horizon suitcase, which is the signature model of the collection, created in collaboration with designer Marc Newson. He has also posed, with the same suitcase, for a series of photos taken by photographer and filmmaker Glen Luchford, for the print campaign.
Serving as soundtrack is Davie Bowie’s 1977 single “Heroes”, from his 12th studio album of the same name.
The Louis Vuitton Horizon line, which is emblematic of the Maison’s heritage, offers unprecedented perspectives and infinite freedom. The collection includes both pieces for men and women. The Horizon 44 suitcase is priced at $3400.
“For me, the horizon is looking to the future, letting my imagination carry me and thinking about what could happen, what the future holds – all its possibilities,” Messi said.
